The Academic and Medical Radiation Safety Officer group is in the process of drafting a "Model
Radiation Safety Manual". The purpose of this manual is to make available
to any interested RSOs a manual that has been reviewed and discussed by
nearly 200 RSOs at a wide variety of institutions. We will be using this
WWW page to post draft chapters and, once reviewed, revised, and approved,
to post the final versions. Any interested RSO may feel free to download
these chapters for their own use, modifying them as necessary.
Please contact Andrew Karam (Andrew_Karam@URMC.Rochester.edu) with any
comments you might have on the draft RSM chapters as they become available.
The AMRSO group is an informal e-mail list server for academic and medical
radiation safety officers. We currently have nearly 200 members, primarily
in the US, but also in Canada, Australia, Malta, and elsewhere. Any
academic or medical RSO is welcome to join and participate in our exchange
of information. The list server is run by Andrew Karam and you should
contact him with a request to join.
